ONE Championship: Angela Lee congratulates incredible brother Adrian, 17, on winning high scho

Adrian Lee, the younger brother of ONE Championship MMA champions Angela and Christian Lee, bolstered his burgeoning reputation by winning a state wrestling title at the weekend.

The 17-year-old took the Hawaii High School Athletics Association’s 160-pound crown at Brigham Young University on Sunday.

“State champ baby!” Adrian wrote in an Instagram post after his triumph.

Chatri Sityodtong, chairman of Singapore-based martial arts promotion ONE, also weighed in on Instagram.

“Congrats Adrian,” Chatri wrote in a reply to his post.

The 26-year-old Angela Lee, ONE’s atomweight MMA champion, watched from the stands with the rest of her family, and wrote an emotional post dedicated to her brother.

“You did it!” she said. “You are incredible and such an inspiration to me and everyone who knows you. No one deserves it more than you. I love you little bro.”

He paid an emotional tribute to her last month, calling her the “most loving person I know” while sharing a picture of the two as young children pulling silly faces.

Christian Lee, ONE’s lightweight and welterweight MMA champ, also cheered Adrian on to victory at the weekend, along with their parents Ken and Jewelz Lee.

“Your new 160lbs 2023 Hawaii State Wrestling Champion!” 24-year-old Christian said in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“Couldn’t be more proud of how hard you worked for this moment bro. Can’t wait to see what’s next for you.”

Plenty of notable ONE Championship stars also gave their congratulations, including former champions Aung La N Sang and Adriano Moraes.

Adrian Lee had returned to high school wrestling competition this month.

After winning the Western Divisional Championships at Pearl City High School in Honolulu, he also took first place in the 160-pound division for Mililani High School’s Trojans wrestling team at the Oahu Interscholastic Association Championships.

A four-time national champion and six-time world champion at youth level MMA, “The Phenom” also won an amateur title in December, just days before Victoria’s death.
